Wir hatten eine grossartige Zeit bei euch. Die Ruhe, die Landschaft, der mit seinen Tieren - einfach traumhaft und nicht zu vergessen der Ausflug mit dem Motorboot, der uns sehr viel Spass machte. Wir bedanken uns bei Euch für die wunderschöne und erholsame Zeit. Die Landschaft ist einmalig und wir hatten nach 1 Woche Toronto, Erholung pur. Die Natur hier ist etwas ganz Besonderes und wir haben die Ruhe sehr genossen. Auch wenn es 2 Tage regnete, tat das der Erholung keinen Abbruch. Gerne kommen wir wieder hierher zurück. Kim 10J.: Es fing an, dass wir 1 Woche in Toronto waren und dann in den Norden gefahren sind. Schon als ich vom Boot aus gesehen habe, wie schön es hier war, wollte ich hier bleiben. Danke für die schönen Tage.

Hi Vreni & Urs, next spring/summer it will be 10 years ago, that I spent the season in Canada in the kitchen of your beautiful old mirror lodge - in the meantime my life changed a lot - new home, new job, a husband, a georgeous 4 months old son... I`ll never forget the time which I spent with you - wish you all the best for the upcoming seasons - take care and I`m sure, one time, I`ll visit Port Loring again, together with my family!

Looking for a getaway this year or next? We had a great time at this hidden gem last week - private cottages on a very, very quiet lake, north of the hustle/bustle of Muskoka. A kitchen for cooking in the cottage, but we opted for the all-inclusive, which was DELICIOUS (and restful for me). The sky was so dark there ... darkest I've seen in a long time; the milky way was powerfully visible. Lots to do on the water and in the cabins ... canoeing, kayaking, and each cottage gets access to a small motor boat, perfect for fishing or driving up/down the very long lake / river system. We even travelled to a more isolated lake in the woods and met a lovely (and talkative!) hermit.

den Höhepunkt unsers Urlaubs erlebten wir gleich zum Anfang bei Euch: vier unvergleichlich wunderschöne Tage in Einsamkeit und Natur, ein Luxus! Ihr habt uns umsorgt und verwöhnt, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Martin (7) schwärmt noch heute, über 4 Wochen später, davon - es war einfach das Beste! Unsere Lodge - urgemütlich mit Küche, Wohnzimmer, 2 Schlafzimmern und Bad. Ein Traum: morgens nach dem Aufstehen ganz alleine im riesengroßen ruhigen See schwimmen und danach das unvergleichlich köstliche Frühstück. Das Ruderboot und das Motorboot haben wir leider viel zu wenig genutzt. Euer Lunchpaket zum Mittag - abwechslungsreich und lecker. Und erst das Abendessen, Eure wunderbare Kochkunst, so herzlich serviert! Die Terrassen am Restaurant und auch an der Lodge waren ideal, um abends lange draußen zu sitzen. Und das Lagerfeuer haben wir sehr geliebt.
Danke für die vielen langen Unterhaltungen, für die vielen Ratschläge, für die Safari und für die Schönheit Kanadas, die Ihr uns so nahe gebracht habt. Und übrigens: wir haben die schöne Red-Zeder-Flöte in Port Loring gekauft. Die beiden lieben alten Leutchen dort kennenzulernen, war das Erlebnis schon wert!

Hello Verena and Urs. This is just a quick note to again thank you for the beautiful dinner last Monday evening. Our evening at the lodge with our daughter and her husband (and our little grand-daughter) was in celebration of their second anniversary, and we could not have chosen a nicer place to celebrate. Our son-in-law says his visit to the lodge has been the highlight of his summer. Thank you for making this a moment to remember.
